Sent Card #152

I sent this card to Yue in Shanghai, China. She said on her profile that she collects postmarks. I picked up this card at the National Postal Museum in Washington, D.C. a year ago. They had 2 (or 3?) areas in the museum where you could hand stamp special cards that they had. I stamped this card myself. It is a copy of one of the first American stamps (2 were issued at the same time) and the first postmark!

HURRAY! My card reached its destination in 17 days after traveling 12,144 km! Yue wrote, “Thank you for the nice card with nice stamps! I like it very much!!” This is the fastest one of my cards has traveled to China! It normally takes about 6-8 weeks.
