I sent this card to Nadya in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
HURRAY! My card reached its destination in 40 days after traveling 4,561 miles! Nadya wrote, “It is so nice to hear you, to get your postcard and read that you lived in St.Petersburg. I like your postcard with cat!…”
The Randall Family sent me this great card from Bhutan via Boston, MA. Thanks so much – I love the flag and the yaks! 🙂 They wrote on the card that “datshi” means “cheese” in the “Dzongkha” language of Bhutan. 🙂
The Randall family sent me a card from Bangladesh via Boston, Massachusetts today! I love this card since I really love flags, and it’s a rare country to have a card from. 🙂 Also, it’s a UN card and it’s from the Randall family! 🙂
I swapped recently with Hsu Ju from Changhua City, Taiwan. She sent me back another card, movie ticket (from the “Avengers”) and an ad. I had asked her whether or not they dub movies in Taiwan, and she said they only dub cartoons. She also said that movie tickets in Taiwan are torn in the corner, to show that it was used. So interesting! 🙂
Also, I love this card so much! 🙂 I haven’t had a “bubble tea” (aka “pearl milk tea”) since I lived in NYC several years ago. So good! 🙂 I love the stamps, and cute dog sticker too! 🙂
Favorite cheeses: Edam, Caboc & cheesecake 🙂
The wonderful Randall family sent me these beautiful cards via Boston, Massachusetts over the past two weeks. Thank you so much! 🙂 I really appreciate it! Such lovely glimpses into places I’ve never been, but I hope to someday. 🙂 And wonderful additions to my card collection!
The illuminated arches of the Liston Promenade in Corfu, Greece!
I spy what I think is a VW bus! 🙂 This lovely card is from Gibb’s Farm in Karatu, Tanzania. Just out of curiosity, I looked up the prices, and while I probably won’t be able to stay there any time some, I’m adding this to my bucket list! 🙂
Cows! I love this postcard of Highland cows from Scotland. It must be the Wisconsinite in me, because I’ve always thought cows are pretty cute. 🙂
Buenos Aires, Argentina! Such a pretty city! I would love to go here someday.
I really love hotel postcards. I grew up just around the time that hotels and motels stopped giving them away for free, or even selling them. I definitely remember going on vacation with my parents and having some free cards waiting in the room, and I was so excited to write one to someone!
This card is from Fort Young Hotel in Roseau, Dominica. I looked up the hotel, and it sure has changed a lot! 🙂
The Ruwanwelisaya in Sri Lanka!
And finally a card from Salzburg, Austria! 🙂
I sent Shirley from Tai’an City, Shandong, Taiwan this card. She said she likes “postcards from around this world”!
“Hi, Maria, Thanks your postcard, I am very glad can receive it! I also like your handwrite! If I have free time, I will invite Virginia that you say have many historical place！Happy postcrossing!”
